Maintenix for Corporate Aviation

The Maintenix® Solution for Corporate Aviation

The Maintenix® product is an advanced, best-in-class maintenance and engineering (M&E) software system that has been designed to meet the unique needs of large operators of business aircraft. Maintenix provides corporate aviation organizations with unrivalled capabilities for configuration management, fleet-wide maintenance forecasting and planning within the context of the flight schedule, utilization tracking, and regulatory compliance assurance. These capabilities help to ensure that business aircraft are ready to fly where and when they are needed.

  • Maintenix allows the engineering department to create, modify, and manage the aircraft and assembly configuration and the master maintenance program for all aircraft types in the managed fleet.

  • As one of the cornerstones of the Maintenix product, the system’s component-centric configuration & records management model provides key functionality such as maintenance and fault histories, as-maintained configuration management, utilization tracking, electronic logbooks, and technical records for aircraft and components. This helps the maintenance organization to ensure that it complies with airworthiness regulations.

  • With Maintenix, corporate aircraft operators can effectively manage the entire maintenance enterprise – at the line, heavy, and shop maintenance levels. Maintainers can accurately forecast the upcoming demand for spare parts and other resources (labor, tools, and facilities), ensuring that the right resources are available at the right location at the right time. Maintenix also provides functionality for planning and scheduling maintenance projects, including identifying the scope of work, assigning labor and other resources, reserving parts, and adding non-routine maintenance tasks as they arise. Information on maintenance activity is captured and managed at the "point of maintenance", using electronic maintenance "to do" lists, links to technical publications and work instructions, and data collection capabilities. The system’s electronic workflow management contributes to streamlined maintenance processes and the reduction or elimination of paperwork.

  • For corporate operators who outsource a portion of their maintenance work, Maintenix supports this by providing information to, and collecting data from, the third party maintainer(s), thereby enabling the operator to manage their configuration and maintenance records.

  • Maintenix offers materials management features that are specifically designed to handle the unique materials requirements of the aviation industry. Maintenix handles these industry-specific needs by managing the entire aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) and allowing the tracking of selected items at the serial number level. In addition, Maintenix provides demand management & fulfillment (forecasting and fulfilling scheduled and unscheduled parts demands), parts reservations & requests, "Just in Time" (JIT) issuing of parts for specific work orders, and material receipt inspection and routing. The system also addresses warehouse management needs such as stock management, issue and put-away tickets, vendor management, quarantine, warranties, etc).

  • To provide an accurate picture of an organization’s finances, Maintenix provides cost tracking of maintenance parts and labor at a granular level, as well as the financial reporting and analysis tools needed to analyze and interpret this data. The system also manages financial transactions such as procurement, sales orders, and invoices.

  • Maintenix supports advanced technologies such as the web and wireless deployment, which allow maintenance organizations to facilitate the flow of information to and from the point of maintenance, in the warehouse, and between business partners. With the web-based user interface of Maintenix, data can be shared with authorized business partners such as worldwide operations facilities and FBOs. Using wireless devices, technicians can access maintenance data and work instructions in Maintenix without having to leave their work area, and can also update their "to do" list as they complete their tasks. Maintenix also makes use of electronic signature technology to enable "point of maintenance" information management and a paperless maintenance environment.

Maintenix is a comprehensive MRO software package that satisfies the unique requirements of corporate aviation maintenance. The system enables increased information sharing between multiple maintenance locations and service providers, better visibility into aircraft condition and repair status, and improved maintenance efficiency. As a result, business aircraft operators are able to achieve service excellence through safe, reliable, on-demand aircraft operations.
