QA & Engineering Support
To ensure the quality of maintenance programs and procedures, and to provide support to Maintenance, Maintenix allows the Engineering group to:
- Manage Quality Assurance (QA) by providing new part approval and vendor accreditation,
- Provide auditing and correction for cycle count discrepancies,
- Closely monitor the quality and effectiveness of the maintenance programs for all aircraft parts,
- Improve work documents with additional work instructions and clarifications when required, and
- Collaborate with Maintenance within the system to offer advice and recommendations as needed. In Maintenix, a technician can request Engineering help on a task, and provide all necessary information for analysis (e.g. digital photos, links to manuals, modified bitmaps, fault narrative, and contextual info) as part of the request. This request automatically appears in the Engineering "to do" list. Engineering can reply back, again within the system, with an Engineering Authorization (EA) and instructions.
