Engineering is an essential part of any aviation organization. This group has many responsibilities encompassing maintenance program definition and control, change management and compliance, revision control, in-house and external repair procedures, reliability engineering, quality assurance, fault analysis, and corrective action recommendations. Maintenix supports all of these activities, with an emphasis on defining a "blueprint" of the aircraft, all of its components, and its maintenance program.
In Maintenix, the Maintenance Engineering module serves as the foundation of the system, establishing the configuration hierarchy, rules, and maintenance program that all of the other modules draw upon. The information from this module is used to pre-populate data and automate processes throughout the system, consequently reducing the level of effort of planners, technicians, and materials management personnel using the system.
