Maintenance Program Management

The Maintenance Program Management features of the Maintenance Engineering module provide the tools to define and manage maintenance programs at the component level.

Maintenance programs in Maintenix contain definitions and "baselines" of all maintenance tasks - including the latest revisions - and incorporate the following: all of the maintenance requirements, tasks, procedures and Job Instruction Cards (JICs), and links to the necessary supporting documentation and online publications.

Maintenix provides a change management process whereby assemblies can be modified through Engineering Orders (EOs), and maintenance requirements can be adjusted as the program goes through revisions. The system provides Approved Maintenance Program (AMP) control of revisions and the downstream impact of these changes for multiple maintenance programs (such as the organization's own AMP as well as customer-specific AMPs used for doing 3rd party work). Maintenance engineers can interpret and incorporate Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Modifications (MODs), and internally created Engineering Orders (EOs) into the maintenance program, and issue them out to the fleet using effectivity rules to update the appropriate maintenance plans & schedules for the affected component(s). Once issued, incorporation into the maintenance plan is automatic, resulting in immediate visibility of the change with little to no disruption to planners, technicians, and materials managers.

Solid component-centric configuration control is a cornerstone of the Maintenix product that is unmatched by other systems. Such control enables Maintenix to enforce task effectivity and part compatibility, ascertaining the requisitioning of parts that are fully compatible with the aircraft build and ensuring compliance. Furthermore, Maintenix defines individual maintenance requirements at the appropriate component level, not just at the aircraft or engine level. Maintenix is unique in its ability to tie configuration control to actual maintenance plans to track data and manage compliance at the component level.
