Maintenance Cost Tracking
In tracking direct costs, Maintenix® uses specific work orders that identify and represent tail numbers, serial numbers, project codes, maintenance visit types, etc. These work orders automatically collect materials consumed by part number, date of issue, name and department of person who placed the order, station performing the work, etc. Unused parts can be returned to stock for credit back to the work order. By real-time tracking of labor and material specific to the cost center, department, maintenance visit, aircraft tail number, engine, and component serial number, etc., Maintenix provides expense analysis with supporting details, which simplifies cost allocation and budgetary variance resolution. Using specific job tracking with clock-on and clock-off details on tasks, labor rates for the individual workers can be rolled up by cost center, departmental, and divisional categories.
Maintenix can likewise be used to define specific projects for indirect costs, allowing the labor and related materials expended indirectly by inspectors, supervisors, planners, engineers, clerks, etc to be easily tracked and monitored for job costing and budgetary control.
