Line Maintenance Execution
Maintenix adapts to the changing nature of a Line technician's work and provides electronic workflow management and data collection capabilities for the Line Maintenance environment. An easy-to-use graphical interface helps technicians navigate through their assigned workload with minimum effort. Whether technicians are assigned to daytime turn checks or to overnight checks, Maintenix presents them with a To Do list based on their assigned tasks, with links to electronic job cards and technical manuals. For decision support, technicians can easily navigate into the records for the aircraft or component to investigate current configuration data, historical faults and repairs, or outstanding maintenance requirements.
The Maintenix role-based workflow allows technicians to see their tasks as they are assigned, record findings and part changes, and sign off completed tasks. Material and tooling requests can be generated and tracked in the system, easily allowing technicians to monitor the status of their requests through to fulfillment. Technicians are also able to defer newly discovered faults, and to de-scope work if they can't finish all of the assigned tasks during their shift. In turn, work requiring inspection will automatically show up in the inspector's (or supervisor's) "to do" list when completed by the technician. When the work has passed inspection, the authorized inspector can perform the final sign-off of the task in the system. Other roles in the automated Maintenix workflow, such as engineering support and supervisor roles, assist the technicians through corrective action alerting and assessment. Real-time job tracking and electronic sign-offs at the work site improve record keeping and provide updated data for labor tracking and cost management.
