Ottawa, Canada (August 25, 2009) – Mxi Technologies has emerged as the market leader in advancing customer adoption of electronic signature and record keeping capabilities by providing a fully compliant, paperless alternative for reporting and auditing.
The complex regulatory and business requirements of Mxi customers are addressed through the flexibility of the Maintenix® e-signature solution, which was designed to deliver meaningful enhancements to maintenance operations at commercial airlines, defense organizations, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in-service programs. Adoption of the solution in the United States, Canada, and Australia, with the supporting regulatory approvals, indicates a shift in traditional paper-based maintenance programs with a move towards paperless environments.
To date, Mxi Technologies’ e-signature solution has gone live at several customer sites following authorization by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), and the Directorate of Technical Airworthiness (DTA). With permissions granted by the responsible federal regulatory body, each organization has added digital signature capabilities and electronic record keeping to their maintenance operations, resulting in more effective workflow management and the elimination of paperwork.
Designed to comply with FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 120-78, the Maintenix e-signature feature incorporates user uniqueness, deliberate action, scope-of-work identification, and archival functionality to satisfy safety and data security requirements. As electronic signature and record keeping requests are considered on a case-by-case basis by the responsible regulatory body, functionality in accordance with AC 120-78 ensures timely approval to reduce the delay between submission and functional implementation.
