Mxi Technologies’ Thought Leadership in Agile Development and Design Spotlighted at Sold-out Gatineau-Ottawa Agile Tour

Local conference offers ideal opportunity for community engagement and developing the workforce of the future

Ottawa, Canada (November 26, 2015) Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance management software, announced today that the company was a proud Gold Partner of the Gatineau-Ottawa Agile Tour, aimed at helping drive greater collaboration and involvement among local agile practitioners.

The conference, affectionately known in the industry as “GOAT,” took place November 23rd, attracting some of the industry’s leading thinkers on agile development, teamwork and organizational design at home and abroad. The local conference is part of a worldwide Agile Tour taking place in 70 cities, in 23 countries around the globe.

Mike Lowery, Mxi’s Senior Agile Specialist, gave a presentation on “Coaching Flow: Moving Past Resistance,” providing insights on embracing change, using influence maps, power flow in an organization, and re-framing relationships. “Agile is not merely focused on speed and time to market,” said Lowery. “These are but a by-product of what it’s really about – small self-organizing teams with meaningful, engaging work, with enough autonomy to build the right thing for the customer.”

Over two years ago, Mxi Technologies adopted proven agile practices in its product development processes to better serve its customers. More recently the company recently moved into new purpose-built offices in Kanata that are specifically designed to foster greater workforce collaboration among engaged, high-performance development teams.

“Agile development is a key part of how Mxi drives competitive value in how we deliver products to market and capture market share. Events like GOAT, in our own backyard, are critical to nurturing this approach through best practice insights, and gives us the inside track to attracting top talent who can help fill a growing need in the organization,” said Jeff Cass, Chief Innovation Officer, Mxi Technologies.
